Clean & Simple Petal Palette

I love this week's sketch at Clean and Simple Stamping.  I've been mulling over my options it all week and finally sat down and made this while watching the Olympics. (Go USA!)

Card Recipe

  • Basic Black card base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
  • Whisper White: 4 1/16" x 5 5/16"
  • Basic Black: 2 11/16" x 3 15/16"
  • Whisper White: 2 1/2" x 3 3/4"
  • Whisper White scrap for punch
  • Pink Pirouette scrap for die cut

How to Recreate this Card

  • To create the stamped image:
    • Start by laying the smaller whisper white cardstock in the center of the larger one. You can use a temporary adhesive to hold it in place.
    • Then stamp the floral image using Memento ink, making sure to stamp on both layers of cardstock.  You will have  small area on the edge of the smaller cardstock piece that will not stamp.  Don't worry about it.  It will be hidden by the Basic Black layer.
    • After coloring the stamped image, assemble all of the layers using SNAIL adhesive.  Pay attention to your stamped image to line it back up as best as possible.

  • The word 'amazing' is die cut from Pink Pirouette cardstock with a Multi Purpose Adhesive Sheet adhered to it.
  • The word 'you' is stamped with Memento ink.  (I stamped it on scrap Whisper White and punched with a circle die to cover up my first attempt!)
  • The sequins are attached to the card with the Fine Tip Glue Pen.
