Kre8tors Blog Hop: Birthday

It is time for another round of the Kre8tors Monthly Blog Hop!  This month we are celebrating birthdays.  Did you know that birthday cards account for more than half of the non-seasonal cards that are sent everyday?  I don't know about you but I love getting birthday cards in the mail - especially if they are hand made.

My card today uses one of my favorite birthday sets from Stampin' Up!'s Annual Catalog - Balloon Celebration.  I think this fun set is perfect for sending balloons to your favorite people for just about any occasion.

I paired up this stamp set with the Stylized Birthday individual stamp.  This bold sentiment is an excellent way to wish someone a happy birthday.  This stamp is so versatile.  I can be paired up with another stamp set as I did. Or the large greeting can be used on its own.

I chose a fun, bright color combination for this card - Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lime Twist, and Tempting Turquoise.  I love how these colors go together to create such a cheerful celebration.

To make this card, the the solid balloon images were stamped-off (stamp once on scrap paper and a then on your card layer).  The dotted shading image was stamped at full strength.  See how well my balloons are lined up in straight lines?  It was so easy with my Stamparatus!  If you haven't heard of the Stamparatus yet, stay tuned for my details of this amazing stamping tool when it becomes available in the new Annual Catalog in June.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog.  I hope you have been inspired to stamp something today!  Please take a moment to leave me a comment and let me know you were here.  As always, I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.  Don't forget to subscribe to my blog so you don't miss any future posts!
