Paper Pumpkin Pop Up Blog Hop: You Are My Anchor

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Pop Up Blog Hop! We are all fans of this monthly crafting kit and want to share our enthusiasm for this box of fun and creativity with you!  The beauty of the Paper Pumpkin kit is that you can follow the directions provided in the kit to make the projects as they were designed, or use the supplies as a starting point and let your creativity run wild. On this hop we will be sharing lots of ideas with you on how to use this month's Paper Pumpkin kit: You Are My Anchor.

I really love this month's nautical theme!  The 3" x 3" cards are adorable. And the coordinating box is perfect for gift giving.  Since the 3x3 cards are not mailable, I don't use them a whole lot.  So for my first card I converted on the small cards into a standard A2 (4-1/4" x 5-1/2").

I cut the front flat of the small card, assembled it as shown in the Paper Pumpkin instructions using the die cut pieces, and then used it as a layer on the larger card base. The background Pool Party cardstock was embossed using the Seaside embossing folder.

For my second card I used the stamps from the Paper Pumpkin kit and used the same sketch as a card I  posted last week.

I used the smaller images in the stamp set and stamped them randomly in Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake, Island Indigo, Pool Party, and Soft Saffron.  I then stamped the larger anchor and sentiment in Island Indigo for the main image.  I used the thick twine from the PP kit as embellishment.

I hope you enjoyed what I had to share with you today and have been inspired to use your Paper Pumpkin kit!  If you are not currently a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, now is the best time to join in the fun.  New subscribers will receive 50% off their first 2 months when they subscribe by May 10th, using the promo code SAVEFIFTY0418.
