Party Panda Birthday

I have a sneak peek from the upcoming Sale-a-Bration (SAB) Brochure and the Occasions catalog!  Isn't this panda adorable?  He comes from the Party Panda stamp set, which is one of the items you will be able to choose for free with a qualifying purchase starting January 3rd.  It stamped him with Basic Black archival ink and then used watercolor pencils and a blender pen to color in his balloon and to add a shadow underneath him.

The Sketch

The inspiration for this card came from this week's sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.  A sketch can service as a great starting point when you're designing a card.
I followed the sketch pretty exact, only adding my sentiment in the bottom corner and a few accents with the Tutti-Frutti Adhesive-Backed Sequins (available Jan 3).

My Color Combination

The color combination comes from a mixture of the Picture Perfect Party DSP and the Tutti-Frutti Sequins.

Picture Perfect Party DSP

The small portion of DSP that I used does not give a good representation of how awesome this paper is.  If it isn't on your wish list yet, you need to add it!
Here is another card I made using the Picture Perfect Party DSP:
