Garden Girl

Isn't this Garden Girl so adorable?  I couldn't wait to ink up this stamp.  And the Stampin' Blends make it so easy to color!  Both the ribbon and the DSP are Sale-A-Bration products which you can earn for FREE with a qualifying purchase. This card was inspired by this week's sketch at TGIF Challenges.

Card Recipe

Scroll to the bottom of this post for a complete supply list.
  • Whisper White Thick card base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
  • Bubbles & Fizz DSP: 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
  • Bermuda Bay: 2 5/8" x 4 1/8"
  • Whisper White; 2 1/2" x 4"
  • Whisper White scrap

Tips & Tricks to Recreate this Card

  • Stamp the Garden Girl stamp with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink pad.
  • Using Stampin' Blends, color the image as you wish.  I used the Ivory Stampin' Blend for the skin.  After allowing it to dry, I added additional ink in areas I wanted darker.  The Pink Pirouette Dark Stampin' Blend was used to add color to her cheeks.
  • To create the ruffled ribbon, I added a line of Fast Fuse adhesive to the back of the Bermuda Bay cardstock.  I then loosely attached the ribbon in a narrow 's' pattern, creating the ruffle.

  • The sentiment was stamped in Calypso Coral, the border in Bermuda Bay, and then die cut using the Bunch of Banner Framelits.
