Welcome to this July's Kre8tors Blog Hop! This month we are doing something a little different. Instead of our regular theme, we were given a sketch to work from. So as you make your way around the hop you will see different interpretations of the same card layout. Some will follow the sketch exactly while other, like me, will take more liberties. It's amazing how many different looks you can get from one source.
The Sea of Textures stamp set has been sitting on my crafting desk begging to be used, but I haven't found just the right inspiration yet. I felt this sketch was the inspiration I've been waiting for.
I stamped the octopus using the Stamparatus. I first stamped it in Coastal Cabana. I then cleaned the stamp and used a sponge to add Bermuda Bay to the arms of the octopus stamp. Because the Stamparatus keeps everything in place, I didn't have to worry about lining up the stamping!
The light Crumb Cake alcohol marker was used to add a little extra dimension to the sand dollar. I just went around the outside edge of the star and the sand dollar with the fine tip.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope you have been inspired to stamp something today. Please take a moment to leave me a comment and let me know you were here. As always, I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have about this project or any Stampin' Up! product.
