Colour Combo Blog Hop

Welcome to this month's Colour Combo Blog Hop!  This is a monthly hop  of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world. Each month we are given the challenge of working with a specific color combination.  This month's combo is Pool Party, Blackberry Bliss, and Merry Merlot.  I have to admit that when I first saw the combo I wasn't sure how I was going to use.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

I used the Blended Seasons bundle for this month's card.  This bundle is only available during the month of August, so be sure to order it soon!  I started by using the leaf stamp to stamp a tone-on-tone background on the Pool Party layer.
I then stamped the Thank You sentiment on a piece of  Very Vanilla card stock and then die cut it with the largest shaped frame.  I love that the stitching on these dies are on both the inside and outside of the cutting line, making it more versatile!
After assembling the card I used die cut leaves in Pool Party, Blackberry Bliss and Merry Merlot to decorate the front.  I wanted to add a small amount of bling so I added a few metallic sequins.

Thanks for checking out my blog today.  I'm so glad you stopped by.  Please take a moment to leave me a comment and let me know you were here.  And don't forget to follow me so you don't miss any future posts!  Don't forget to click on the Next button below and continue along the hop.

  5. Sure love this...it reminds me of a late Fall, when there are crisp leaves still on the ground, but there's been a snow! Thanks for sharing :-D

  8. This is truly beautiful!!! I am wondering what you used for the die-cut leaves? I too would find this color combination challenging, but you made it work beautifully.

    Best wishes to you,

    Joanne
