Kre8tors Blog Hop: Spring Color Challenge

Welcome to April's Kre8tors Blog Hop! As you hop through the list of blogs, you will find projects from Stampin' Up! demonstrators from various countries with different levels of experience, sharing what we love - creating!  This month we are featuring a color challenge.  At the end of my post you will find the full list of participants.  Just click on the 'next' button to continue on the hop.

I used the Needle & Thread Bundle. This bundle immediately caught my eye in the Occasions catalog.  Long before I discovered stamping, I did a lot of needle work (sewing, embroidery, cross stitch, etc.).  So this bundle was a must-have addition to my stamp collection.

I am in love with the color combination Melissa gave us this month!  It is perfect for the flowers in this bundle.

Even though my card looks pretty plain at first glance, there is actually a lot going on.  I used the die set to create an stitched focal center that is framed with a Highland Heather frame cut with the Rectangle Stitched dies.

I then stamped various flowers and leaves from the stamp set using the color combination to create a floral cluster for the bottom corner of the frame.  The sentiment is stamped in Basic Gray ink on Gray Granite cardstock.  Of course every card I make needs just a little bling so I added a few (or more) rhinestones to finish it off.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today!  I'm so glad you stopped by.  Please take a moment to follow my blog while you are here so you don't miss any posts!  Be sure to use the Next button blow to continue on the hop.  I know you're not going to want to miss out on what Jacqueline has to share with you!

Happy Stampin' !
