Colour Combo June Blog Hop

Hi Stampin' Friends!

Welcome to this month's Colour Combo Blog Hop! As you progress through this hop you will see projects made by Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world. Every project features this month's color combination: Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, and Soft Sea Foam.

This color combination immediately made me think floral, so I pulled out the new Prized Peony stamp set.   I used the smaller flower image and the two leaf stamps. To make the leaves appear behind the flowers I used masking. To do this, I stamped the flower on a post-it note, cut it out, and then laid it on top of the stamped flower before stamping the leaves.

I also used to spotlight technique to create this card. Using my Stamparatus and Momento Black ink, I stamped two exact panels. One was left black & white and the other was colored with Stampin' Blends makers and then trimmed down with the Stitched Rectangle dies.

The sentiment was heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. To finish off the card, I added a few Elegant Faced Gems. These self-adhesive gems are sparkly and fairly flat (no extra postage!)
