Hi Stampin' Friends!
Welcome to the Colour Combo Blog Hop! This is a monthly hop where a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world are given a color combination to work with. This month's combination is highland Heather, Misty Moonlight, and Sahara Sand. This was such a fun combo to work with!
My card today uses the new Birds & Branches Bundle from Stampin' Up!'s Annual Catalog. This bundle includes stamp images of birds, branches, eggs, and nest images, along with coordinating dies to create nature scenes.
shades. The bird stamp is also a two-step stamp. For my bird I used 'stamping off' to stamp to get a lighter share of Misty Moonlight for base of the bird. The second stamp was stamped in regular strength. It was so simple to get so many shades in one image!
The Highland Heather layer was embossed with the Tasteful Textures 3D Embossing Folder. I felt that this texture was a perfect compliment for a nature scene. For just a little bit of glitz, I used the Metallic Pearls for the flower centers. Though these are a dark gray, they have a blue tint to them make them a great match for Misty Moonlight.
