Colour Combo Blog Hop

Hi Stampin' Friends!

Welcome to the August Colour Combo Blog Hop!  As you progress through this hop you will see projects made by Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world. Every project features this month's color combination: Night of Navy, Granny Apple Green, and Flirty Flamingo.

I guess I'm not quite ready for summer to end, because I was really wanting to create a floral card with this month's color combination.  I pulled out the Timeless Tulips bundle and paired it up with the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper.  The textures in this DSP makes a perfect background for just about any card.

The tulips were stamped in Flirty Flamingo with Granny Apple Green stems and leaves. The largest flower was stamped and then punched with the Tulip Builder Punch.  I used Night of Navy for the sentiment.  I also used the Night of Navy ribbon from the Playing With Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack.

To assemble the card I layered the DSP on a Night of Navy card base with a very narrow border.  The Whisper White die cut piece was attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals, as is the large flower.
